If you are looking for someone to license you to carry a handgun in Texas, look no further than Cornerstone. You can go onto the Texas DPS website and find a list of “Instructors”. While your looking at the website, look to see what requirements the state has for those instructors. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of qualified CHL Instructors out there. The question is who do you want to teach you? What is their experience besides receiving their certification to teach a CHL class? What else do they bring to the table? Is the information being taught nothing more than something they have read in a book or manual or do they have over 15 years experience teaching our Military and Law Enforcement.

You are going to receive the required classes as dictated by the state. It is the additional training you will receive that makes our program stand out. The state only requires that you have the required hours, pass the written exam and pass the range qualification. Since you are considering getting a Texas Concealed Handgun License you must be the kind of person who takes their personal security seriously. If you do take your personal security seriously, then you owe it to yourself to receive the best training you can get. You might find someone who will do your license cheaper, but you won’t find any better training.

Once you get that CHL, don’t stop there. You cannot be proficient enough to defend yourself, your family or others by shooting a CHL qualification every few years. Training is the key to success. Those who take our CHL class receive some of this information but you have to take the TACTICAL PISTOL course to get the hands-on experience that is “real world.”

You don’t have to have an application package from Texas Department of Public Safety filled out prior to taking the class. We can even provide you with an application packet. Just go to the Texas DPS website and make sure you qualify for a Texas Concealed Handgun License prior to taking any CHL class.
